PECO Says Power Will Be Back by Late Afternoon

Parts of Warminster are still in the dark after the recent ice storm.

At the height of the storm PECO reported that approximately 185,000 customers were without power; as of 10 a.m. Thursday, service had been restored to all but about 6000 customers across Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, Delaware and Philadelphia Counties.

PECO Spokesperson Liz Williamson said approximately 2000 of those customers are from Bucks County.

"We've made great progress, but we realize the work isn't done," said Williamson.

She said the areas that are still without power were some of the 

"Our crews will not stop working until power is restored to each and every customer," she said.

Williamson urged those that are still without service to call PECO's hotline at 1-800-841-4141.

"Don't just assume one of your neighbors has reported the problem," she said. "The more people who call, it is easier for us to target the area."

Williamson said the crews will most likely finish their work restoring power to the entire region by Thursday afternoon.
