24-Hour School Watch Hotline Launches in County

The Bucks County School Watch Hotline is 1-877-888-7140.

Bucks County has introduced a 24-hour hotline for callers to share information about potential risks at local schools.

The Bucks County School Watch Hotline is 1-877-888-7140. 

According to information from the Newtown Township Police Department, the hotline was created so students, parents and staff can anonymously report situations that may put school safety jeopardy.

"The hotline is intended to help keep schools safe by notifying local school and law enforcement officials of potential acts of violence, theft, weapons on campus, drug and/or alcohol abuse before they occur," information from the Newtown Township Police said.

Trained telecommunicators will be answering the calls to gather information and relay it to the local police department and school officials.
