The sixth annual Women’s Scholarship Tea will be held this Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m. at Bucks County Community College’s Newtown campus. The event, which benefits women students who support at least one child while seeking a higher education, will be held in Tyler Hall.
Finger sandwiches, desserts and tea from the Tea Can Company will be served. PECO is a scholarship benefactor of the event.
“Through the generosity of sponsors and attendees, 20 scholarships of $1,000 each were awarded over the past two years,” said Adrienne Clark of the BCCC Foundation.
This year’s featured speakers are college President Stephanie Shanblatt and Denise Chranowski, founder of “8 Weeks to Wellness. ” The student speaker will be Jennifer Hill, a past recipient of the “Salute to Mothers” scholarship.
