Centennial Hires District Safety Director

Jeffry Cochran was appointed the district's Safe School Coordinator during the Oct. 8 school board meeting.

The following was provided by the Centennial School District:

Centennial School District Board of School Directors approved the appointment of a Safe Schools Coordinator on Tuesday, October 8. Jeffry Cochran holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. In addition, he is a certified Act 120 Municipal Police Officer and holds a certificate from Pennsylvania State Police. 

Mr. Cochran is a recently retired Special Agent from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security after 27 years. In total he has 32 years of law enforcement experience and more than 15 years of supervising coaching and inspiring young people. 

He has a deep interest in providing a safe school environment, mentoring, and guidance to young people. Mr. Cochran is actively involved in youth sports programs for ages 6- 21. Mr. Cochran has served as Vice President of Council Rock Basketball and Vice President of Northampton Baseball and is currently a board member of Lower Bucks Senior Babe Ruth, coaching young men ages 16-18.

In December of 2012, Mr. Cochran was selected to coach Men’s Varsity Baseball at Bucks County Community College. Beginning on April 1, 2013, he began serving in the Neshaminy School District, at Maple Point Middle School as the school security, discipline and management assistant.
