Centennial School Board Selects Permanent Willow Dale Principal

It was a unanimous, 9-0, vote for Paula Voshell's selection. Acting principal Michael Donnelly will become assistant principal.

The Centennial School Board announced at its meeting Tuesday night that Paula Voshell had been selected as the new principal for . She will take over the duties from acting principal Michael Donnelly in January. Donnelly will remain at Willow Dale as assistant principal.

"It was a 9-0 vote in her favor," said school board member Mark Miller. "There were seven candidates, and she gave the best presentation."

Voshell was present at the school board meeting for the announcement, and told reporters that she was excited to join the Centennial family. She is currently the principal of Nottingham School in Oxford, Pa., part of the Oxford Area School District in Chester County.

"I am currently principal at a school that teaches second, third and fourth grades," said Voshell. "I wanted to take the opportunity to work at a school with more grade levels, and Willow Dale was the perfect fit."

Centennial began the search for a new principal in August, after Dr. Donna Dunar resigned her position after against the district.

In other personnel matters, Dr. Susan Klyman has resigned her post as director of student services, moving to Pennsbury School District as director of special education.

School board president Dr. Andrew Pollack thanked Dr. Klyman for her service, saying, "You have done a fantastic job for the district's special education services. Our loss is Pennsbury's gain."
