Patch Tries Out for Black and White Night

The annual three-day competition tests the mental and physical prowess of William Tennent High School students. We decided to give one of the Gym Night challenges a try.

Before Survivor, before the Amazing Race, before Minute to Win It, there has been Black and White Night. What started 47 years ago as one day in the school gymnasium has exploded into a three-day, competition-laden extravaganza preceded by five weeks of planning and preparation.

Divided alphabetically into two teams, black and white, the participating students will face each other head to head in various challenges that will test their minds and bodies. Wednesday morning is the academic portion, featuring game-show style trivia rounds. Thursday night, the action moves to the pool for various aquatic challenges. Finally, Friday is Gym Night, where athletic contests and dance routines wrap up the week-long festivities and end with the winning team announced.

This week for Patch Does It, I wanted to take a crack at one of the Black and White Night challenges. The members of the Black Jedi found a spot for me during their Ultimate Football practice. Take a look at the video to see if I can keep up.
