District Celebrates Dedication of Renovated Willow Dale School

Parents, students, teachers and administrators braved the pouring rain to witness the new school's official opening.

After construction crews spent the past three months on the building, held its official ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday night.

The rainy evening kept the turnout light as the audience heard remarks from members of the Centennial School Board, Superintendant Dr. Jenny Foight-Cressman, Acting Principal Michael Donnelly, newly named principal and Home & School presidents Tracy Rahn and Nicole Williams.

Willow Dale is the first of the three, larger elementary schools to open, in accordance with the district's re-alignment plan. Construction of the new is well underway, with its opening scheduled for September 2012, followed by the opening of the new McDonald School in September 2013.
