Seven months after opening its doors, and one week after we started the , the buzzer/intercom system that will allow visitors ring the doorbell and enter the school has been installed.

Centennial Superintendent Dr. Jenny Cressman informed Patch readers that the system was up and running with a comment posted Thursday morning.

Workers installed the buzzer Wednesday afternoon, but as Dr. Cressman writes, there was some technical difficulties with the equipment. They returned the enxt day and completed the job and giving the Willow Dale receptionists a reprieve from angry visitors that sometimes had to wave frantically to get the door unlocked.

The new buzzer is actually installed on the inner door of the front entrance. The exterior doors will be unlocked, but visitors will enter into a small corridor and turn to the right, ring the buzzer and proceed into the main office where they can sign in.
