16th Annual Crooked Billet 5K Race and Health Walk

The entire family can enjoy a fun-filled fall morning, while supporting early American history education, on Saturday, October 22nd as The Craven Hall Historical Society sponsors a one-mile fun run followed by the 16th annual Crooked Billet 5K Run/5K Health Walk.

            Both events will take place in Warminster Community Park located on Veterans Lane off of Johnsville Blvd. in Warminster.  Considered to be hallowed ground, the land was a part of the Revolutionary War Battle of Crooked Billet, which took place on May 1st, 1778. 

            The One-mile Fun Run begins at 9:00 a.m.  and the 5K race starts at 9:30 a.m.

            Exciting prizes will be awarded including trophies for best time, special Craven Hall commerative items, a special Crooked Billet race tee shirt and dinner certificates to local restaurants.

            Race fees for the one-mile Fun Run is $5.00.  Fees for the 5K race or health walk is $15.00.  Registration forms are available on line at www.active.com or by calling 215-675-4698.   Same-day registration begins at 8:30 a.m. in the Pavilion.

            Historic Craven Hall, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, is located at the corner of Street and Newtown Roads in Warminster, Pa.  Provides from this event support the operation and maintenance of the Craven Hall Historical Society, Inc.

            Warminster Community Park is located on Veterans Lane off of Johnsville Boulevard in Warminster, PA.    Ample parking is available as well as an on-site playground for youngsters.
