Fitzpatrick Congratulates State Champion Softball Team

The Warrington-Warwick Little League softball team moves on to the regional tournament this weekend.

Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick (PA-08) offered his congratulations Wednesday to the Warrington-Warwick Little League softball team for its 3-0 victory over Minersville on Saturday in the state championship game.

“Our community can be proud to be represented by this group of young women as they compete for the regional title in Bristol, CT this week," said Fitzpatrick.  "As the father of three girls who are involved in our community, I understand firsthand the dedication required of the players and their families to achieve such success."

The team will represent Pennsylvania when it heads to Bristol, Conn., this week to compete against state champions from nine other states for the regional title. The tournament starts Friday with an 11 a.m. game against a team from Bear, Del.
