Pioneers Kick Off 2013 Season with Pep Rally

The night ended with a 28-6 victory by the 65-pound team over Warrington.

The Warminster Pioneers Football and Cheerleading teams started the fall season in style with a pep rally at Werner Field Friday evening.

After Pioneers President Melissa Gallagher introduced each player and cheerleader, they raced onto the field to the applause of the excited parents ready for a full season of gridiron action.

Following the intros, Warminster Supervisor Dan McPhillips presented a proclamation to the 2012 75-pound and 105-pound teams that took a deep run into last year's playoffs.

After the ceremonies, the 65-pound team took the field and started the season with a decisive 28-6 victory over Warrington. The 90-pound team will host Overbrook Friday night at Werner Field at 7:30 p.m.
