Local Volunteers Honored by YWCA

The work of two women from Warminster and one from Ivyland were recognized by the organization at its annual award dinner at Spring Mill Manor.

Three local community members were among those recognized by the YWCA Bucks County during its 21st annual Salute to Women who Make a Difference awards dinner at Spring Mill Manor in Ivyland.

Jeryl DeGideo of Ivyland was nominated for the honor by the Bucks County Commissioners. As director of Bucks County Emergency Health Services, DeGideo has an extensive background in Bucks County’s emergency medical community and is a key liaison between the county and local first-response organizations.

LJ Herman and Yolanda D’Arcangelo of Warminster were nominated for the honor by Ann’s Choice-Erickson Living, where they are both residents. Both women have volunteered for numerous charitable groups, are very active within the community, and have raised thousands of dollars for the Ann’s Choice Scholars Fund that supports the educational efforts of young people.
