Weekend Planner: WPBA Car Show

The Warminster Police Benevolent Association's annual auto show takes place at Warminster Community Park on Saturday.

Summer may be coming to an end, but that doesn't mean the weekend fun has to stop. Here are some options:

Where/when: Warminster Community Park, special event entrance at Hatboro and Bristol roads, Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why go: Hundreds of show vehicles are expected at the event. 90+ awards will be given out at the event to registered show vehicles. There will be multiple vendors serving food, refreshments, as well as selling and promoting different types of merchandise. Huge raffle buckets will be available as well.

Cost: Free

Where/when: 1641 Old York Road, Hartsville, Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why go: General Washington's Neshaminy encampment of August 1777 will be reenacted, complete with soldiers of the Continental Army and camp followers. Camp life will come alive with the sounds of muskets firing in the distance as the men strengthen their skills in military drills to continue the fight for independence.

Cost: $5

Where/when: , 435 Babylon Road, Horsham, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Why go: Grab a bag and fill it with books, CDs, DVDs and more bargains – while benefitting the library.

Cost: Depends on what you buy.

Where/when: , 3500 Masons Mill Road, Huntingdon Valley, Saturday beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Why go: Enjoy a new twist on Elvis Presley tunes courtesy of Presley tribute artist, Elvis Pretzel.

Cost: Free 

Where/when: , 4158 York Road, Buckingham, Friday and Saturday from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Why go: See how a grandfather tries to keep death at bay in the Town and Country Players’ staging of “On Borrowed Time.”

Cost: $15 for adults; $10 for children 

Where/when: 684 Penns Park Road, Newtown, Thursday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Why go: See livestock, enjoy entertainment and taste fair food at the annual Middletown Grange Fair.

Cost: $10
