Hartsville Memorial, School Board Meeting This Week

Check out what's happening this week in Warminster.

  • The Centennial School Board meets Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the administration building. The agenda includes the approval of the purchase of kindergarten playgrounds for Davis and McDonald students. The Home and School Associations will each reimburse the district $12,000 for the equipment. 
  • The Hartsville Fire Company will hold its annual memorial on Wednesday at 7 p.m. for the first responders who died during the 9/11 attacks. A display of 403 American flags will be planted on the front lawn of the station on York Road memorializing 343 New York City firefighters, 37 New York Port Authority officers and 23 New York Police Department officers. Two more flags will represent local volunteer firefighters, John Kulick and Tristan Smith, who were killed in action while serving in the military in Iraq.
  • The Pennsylvania Lottery announces that the Match 6 Lotto jackpot has rolled to $5.3 million for Monday's drawing. Get your numbers at any place that lottery tickets are sold.
  • It's going to alternate between sunny and cloudy this week, with a 60 percent chance of rain on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
