Ring in the New Year, Snow Sculpture Contest Begins This Week

Happy New Year this week! Welcome to 2014. All banks, schools and post offices are closed in observance of the holiday.

All Centennial and parochial schools remain closed for winter break. Classes resume Jan. 2.

The Warminster Parks and Recreation Department starts a snow sculpture contest on New Years Day. From Jan. 1 until March 15, send in photos of your best snow creation to recreation@warminsterpa.org.  Winners will be chosen in late March and will be posted on the website.

Sunday's rain storm clears up with partly sunny skies and cold temperatures in the mid-30s going down to the 20s this week, with possible snow on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
