Warminster Orchestra Opens Season, Election Day This Week

Check out what's happening this week in Warminster.

  • The Warminster Symphony Orchestra opens the 2013-1014 season on Saturday with Brahms, Britten & Bravery at the William Tennent auditorium at 7 p.m. Tickets are only $20 per person if bought in advance at Cryan Jewelers or M&H Framing in Southampton, PA and $22 per adult at the door.  Student tickets are always $8.
  • Voting begins for Election Day at 7 a.m. Tuesday, and the polls remain open until 8 p.m. All Centennial schools will be closed.
  • The Warminster Board of Supervisors meets Thursday at 7 p.m. at the township municipal building. So far, the only agenda item is the presentation of the 2014 budget.
  • The weekly, informal breakfast with Warminster supervisors Dan McPhillips and Frank Feinberg have been suspended for the holidays. The Wednesday morning chats at the Eagle Diner will resume in the new year.
  • It starts to get chilly this week, with Thursday hitting the highest at 69 degrees, but rain also likely, according to the National Weather Service.
