The Centennial School Board of Directors come one step closer to adopting the district's 2013-14 budget Tuesday evening and it includes a tax hike for district homeowners. The vote was 8-1 in favor of moving forward with the district's $101,158,698 general fund budget, with Board Member Jane Schrader Lynch offering the dissenting vote.  The budget includes a tax increase from the current rate of 116.07 mills to 118.04 mills. Currently, the average home assessment in Centennial is $26,400. A 1.97 mill increase equates to an extra $48.46 in taxes for the average …

School Board Remains Unchanged Following Reorganization Vote

Dr. Andrew Pollock remains president of the Centennial School Board for the fourth consecutive year.

With no seats up for grabs in the November 2012 election, the Centennial School Board that entered Monday night's reorganization meeting left the building looking exactly the same. Wonder why Miller abstained? Could it be that he had a moment of clarity? Hasn't been stability in this school since my son started in 2006. Pollock wouldn't know stability if it bit him in the you know what!!   more ›

I am so infuritated by the Tot Time situation. It was thrown on us, with no warning, at the last minute! And it just reeks of incompetence! This wasn't some surprise situation...they had plenty of time PLENTY OF TIME to get this resolved. And what about the playground that wont arrive until October? Why did the kids have to lose a month of playing time? Why couldn't it have been ordered earlier…   more ›
