Warminster Christmas Tree Collection Schedule

Used Christmas trees will be collected with yard waste on Jan. 21

According to a message on the township's website, Christmas trees should be placed curbside the third Monday in January. Trees placed curbside must be bare, with no lights, ornaments, or tinsel remaining.  Christmas trees placed on the curb at this time will be collected as yard waste and recycled.  If you place your tree on the curb at any other time, it will be collected as a bulk item. The township's trash hauler, J.P. Mascaro, reminds residents that they are limited to one bulk item per week, and bulk items are picked up on the second collection day of the week.

Share Your Favorite Ornaments

Take a picture of one of the baubles hanging from your Christmas tree and share it with the Patch community.

Christmas is only days away, and, hopefully, the house is all set to welcome Santa's visit. We already asked you to share photos of the outside decorations for our Deck the House contest. Now, we want to see what you did with the tree. Do you go with the white lights, or the multi-colored look? Tinsel or garland? Real or fake tree? Everybody has their own style, and we want to celebrate them all. There's no contest this time, just for fun. Find your favorite ornament, take a picture and upload it to this article. Be sure to add a caption describing it and why it's so special to you!

The Brunette Lucy

Getting Ready for Christmas

Lucy remembers Christmas traditions with her family as she also says goodbye to Patch.

I hand it to all of you who venture out into the world on Black Friday. The day after Thanksgiving, I can barely rouse myself out of bed due to the turkey, stuffing and pie-induced coma I’m in. So to anyone who managed to get up early (or who camped out before the stores opened) to battle the throngs of bargain seekers, I salute you. For me, one of the best things about the holiday is that it marks the beginning of the Christmas season. Obviously, Black Friday shoppers feel the same way. The tree goes up that weekend, and I’ll watch every sappy Christmas movie ever made – twice – while I decorate and bake. The kids usually take bets on how long it’ll be before I start to cry, and then spy on me until a winner is proclaimed. But the most …
