Still Making Rich Music after 44 Years

The Warminster Symphony Orchestra will perform its Gala Pops Concert Saturday night.

Beginnings for Warminster’s symphony orchestra date back to 1966.  Today nearly 65 musicians, ranging in age from teens to seniors in their 80s, perform in the orchestra.  Over the years, world class artists like trumpeter Allen Vizzutti have taken center stage as soloists.  You might remember Vizzutti from The Tonight Show; he has also performed at Carnegie Hall and New York City’s Lincoln Center.  Leading a Pool of Extraordinary Talented Musicians Joseph Lovecchio, Principal Conductor for the Warminster orchestra, has been playing music for more than four decades.  Lovecchio is the orchestra’s third conductor; he has been at the helm since 1995.  He has a B.S. in Music Education, while his M.A. is in Conducting.  When asked how common it…

Middle School Hosts Choral Concert

Klinger Middle School music students performed holiday selections for a packed auditorium Monday Evening.

A large group of sixth, seventh and eigth grade students, all clad in black and white, performed holiday selections for a packed auditorium Monday evening. The 240 middle schoolers are all students of the school's music department. The performance was directed by their teacher, Julie Flack.
