Jan. 2: 'Dance Moms' Stars Coming to Warminster Dance Studio

Here's five things you should know today.

The Bravo Dance Center welcomes three stars from TLC's reality show Dance Moms, Maddie, Mackenzie, and Gianna, on Saturday, Jan. 5. The cast members will be teaching and mentoring students during two Master Classes. Tickets are available immediately and limited space is available.  Participant tickets are $90 and observer tickets are $40. The township has reminded residents that Christmas trees should be placed curbside the third Monday in January to be collected as yard waste and recycled. At any other time, it will be collected as a bulk item. One bulk item is permitted per week and are picked up on the second collection day of the week. Trees placed curbside must be bare. Dec. 21: Patch Going Dark Briefly This Morning

Here's five things you should know today.

All Patch sites, including Warminster Patch, will briefly go dark this morning at 9:30 a.m. in support of the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting last week. Our thoughst and prayers continue to go to the families in Newtown, Conn. According to the township website, Christmas trees should be placed curbside the third Monday in January to be collected as yard waste and recycled.  At any other time, it will be collected as a bulk item. The Warminster Board of Supervisors meets tonight for its last meeting of 2012. The agenda includes the final adoption of the proposed 2013 budget and continued discussion of the traffic signal system on Street Road. The Centennial School District has postponed a town hall meeting scheduled tonight for parents to speak with the candidates for William Tennent's new principal. Dec. 19: Tennent Marching Band Headed to Bowl Game in Orlando

The William Tennent Marching Band has been invited to play during halftime at the Russell Athletic Boiwl in Orlando on Dec. 28, followed by an appearance the next day during the Universal Macy's holiday parade. The band will host a send-off performance on Thursday, Dec. 20 at 7 p.m. before packing up the instruments and gear for the trip. Hatboro resident Jamie Morrow is one of 24 national finalists in the running for the grand prize in the Patch Deck the House contest. Dec. 18: Bucks Mont Art League Changing Locations

The Bucks Mont Art League has changed its meeting locations, from the Warminster Library to the VFW on Louis Drive. The move is effective January 16, 2013. The group meets regularly every third Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m. The neighborhood winners of the Patch Deck the House contest have been announced.
