The Warminster GOP is seeking candidates living in Warminster township for elected office. Positions available include; Township Supervisor, Tax Collector, Township Auditor, and Centennial School Board Director. Interested persons, who have lived in the township for at least one year or more, are a registered Republican and wish to apply, should send a letter of interest along with a resume to :Warminster Republican Committee, PO Box 3151, Warminster, PA 18974. The deadline for submissions is Monday, Feb. 11. A Committee endorsement screening meeting will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 19, for interviewing potential candidates. Mitt Romney will hold a rally at Shady Brook Farm Sunday, just two days before the presidential election.
Bucks County is preparing to be in the political limelight just two days before the presidential election. Mitt Romney announced Thursday that he will hold a rally at Shady Brook Farm in Lower Makefield Township. It’s the latest indication that Romney believes he has a shot to win Pennsylvania’s 20 electoral votes on Nov. 6. Shady Brook Farm General Manager Dave Fleming said the whole thing happened “very quickly.” He said the Romney campaign approached him two days ago inquiring if the farm would be available for a rally. Fleming agreed and Shady Brook was added to a list of six locations being considered for the Philadelphia-area rally. Mitt Romney's supporters who came to hear the candidate speak Friday at Valley Forge Military Academy and College. Wendy Neininger of Willistown Township, a registered Democrat, is supporting Romney. In 2008, Neininger supported Hillary Clinton, but when Clinton lost the Democratic primary to President Barack Obama, Neininger changed her allegiance. Now, she volunteers at the Romney Victory Office in West Chester. Neininger is concerned about the job market and said college students are scared about the future. “It’s not just the older workers who can’t find jobs; it’s the younger workers too,” she said. Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney announced today he has selected Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan as his choice for Vice President.
News broke early Saturday morning that Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney selected Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan as his Vice Presidential running mate, according to a Fox News report. Ryan, best known for his proposed budget that calls for an overhaul of Medicare, is considered a rising star in the GOP. Romney made the official announcement at a campaign stop in Norfolk, Va., calling Ryan "an intellectual leader of the Republican Party."
