In last week’s article, I discussed whether or not you needed a lawyer to create a will in Pennsylvania and how you should choose one. This week we’ll cover what to bring to the first meeting with your lawyer, whether or not the will has to be in English and other issues regarding this legal document. What should I bring to the consultation? The only things you really need to bring to the first consultation are any previous wills and a notepad. The following also includes all the information you should have ready when you decide to go forward with the document: • Any previous wills; • The names, addresses and telephone numbers of your heirs, even the ones you want to disinherit.
