Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 DLC Starting to Become Open to All

After a period of exclusivity for ELITE subscribers, new MW3 multiplayer maps and modes are here for everyone on Xbox Live (and coming soon to PS3).

MW3 players who subscribed to the ELITE service have been living large, getting to sample new maps and game modes before everyone else. That has started to end, as on Tuesday all content drops were made available to everyone playing on Xbox 360, and they’ll be on their way shortly for PS3. So if you got it right away and want to compare notes, or were waiting until the weekend and want to know what to expect, we’ve got you covered! And as an added bonus, the SpecOps missions have achievements for completion, completion on Veteran difficulty, and one specified task each. Are You ‘That Guy’?—MW3 Edition

When playing “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3” online you’ll encounter (and have to listen to) all manner of agitating players. Are you guilty of any of these infractions?

Any online game is susceptible to cheats, hacks, exploits, and questionable play. Lots of techniques and tactics quickly become frowned upon by a game’s community, but rogue elements take advantage and use them to win at all costs. Plenty of people have valid complaints about the game, and in almost any match of MW3 you’ll hear at least one person screaming about a competitor being one of these 'guys:' Of course, there’s little that can be done except get good enough to counter these tactics or only play with groups of friends who don’t do them. Except for boosting, nothing is technically against the rules, so, sadly, these troublemakers aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. And the only choices you have are rage-quitting or sucking it up …
