Used Christmas trees will be collected with yard waste on Jan. 21
According to a message on the township's website, Christmas trees should be placed curbside the third Monday in January. Trees placed curbside must be bare, with no lights, ornaments, or tinsel remaining. Christmas trees placed on the curb at this time will be collected as yard waste and recycled. If you place your tree on the curb at any other time, it will be collected as a bulk item. The township's trash hauler, J.P. Mascaro, reminds residents that they are limited to one bulk item per week, and bulk items are picked up on the second collection day of the week.

Mascaro's has released it's schedule for residential trash pick-up for Thanksgiving. There will be no trash/recycling/yard waste collected on Thursday. Any resident scheduled for trash pick-up on Thursday will have a double trash pick up on Monday. Any resident scheduled for recycling for Thursday will be picked up the following Thursday. Any resident scheduled for yard waste pick-up for Thursday will be picked up the following Thursday. The Planning Commission meeting scheduled for tonight at 7 p.m. has been canceled.
