Frozen yogurt lovers, rejoice! Free 6 ounces at Menchie's on Wednesday.
In celebration of National Frozen Yogurt Day, Menchie's Frozen Yogurt, including is offering a coupon to customers for 6 free ounces their yummy fro-yo. According to a report in Yahoo! Finance, the coupon can be downloaded on the Menchie's corporate Facebook page and is only valid on Wednesday. Amit Klienberger, CEO of Menchie's Group told Yahoo Finance, "As the leader in the frozen yogurt category, we are excited to celebrate National Frozen Yogurt Day with all of our loyal guests." There are more than 240 Menchie's locations in the US, Canada, Japan, Australia, Puerto Rico, Israel, Guam, and Jordan, and the company expects to open 400 more stores in 2013. Eddie Mekka made an appearance at Menchie's at Center Point Place to help promote this weekend's production of the Rocky Horror Picture Show at The Fuge.
Even though he is a seasoned veteran of the stage and screen, Eddie Mekka still feels the crunch of a four-day rehearsal window before he and the rest of the cast of The Rocky Horror Picture Show debut at The Fuge this weekend. "We just started rehearsals yesterday," said Mekka. "Every actor has that nightmare of waking up the day of a big show and not knowing any of the lines. That's where I am right now. But we've got time, we'll get there and the show will be a lot of fun." Menchie's Frozen Yogurt announced it has raised $234,307 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The funds were raised by Menchie's guests during a month-long program to benefit children and adults affected by neuromuscular disease. From August 1 through September 3, Menchie's guests throughout the country were asked to "Mix it up for MDA" by purchasing and signing a $1 Make a Muscle, Make a Difference mobile while buying frozen yogurt at any of Menchie's 200 nationwide locations, including the shop at Center Point Place. Located at the Center Point Shopping Center, 872 W. Street Rd., near Subway, the self-serve style store allows guests, as owners Kat and Todd Hauben like to call their customers, to create their own, unique combinations of flavors and toppings.
