Elderly Warminster Man Charged in Deadly Motorcycle Accident
Harold Horowitz was charged with several misdemeanors Thursday after an accident that claimed the life of a Huntingdon Valley man back in October.
A Warminster man faces multiple charges following an accident that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist on Street Road last October. Eric Hammer, 27, of Huntingdon Valley, was killed after a car collided with his motorcycle at Street Road and St. Davids Avenue on October 1. Harold Horowitz, 85, was charged with several misdemeanors, including vehicular homicide, involuntary manslaughter and reckless endangerment, in a Warwick district court Thursday. Phillyburbs.com reports bail was set at $25,000 after Horowitz's attorney waived a preliminary hearing. A formal arraignment is scheduled for February 1.

I think everyone should have some kind of review of their driving skills every couple of years. While the elderly may seem to be a logical focus for this kind of action, there are a lot of not so elderly drivers on the road who drive recklessly and irresponsibly all the time.
