Harold Horowitz pleaded guilty to charges stemming from a car vs. motorcycle accident on Street Road last October.
An 85-year-old Warminster man has pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter, following a car accident that killed a Huntingdon Valley motorcyclist. PhillyBurbs.com reported Harold Horowitz was sentenced to eight years of probation in Bucks County Court Tuesday. He was also ordered to pay $18,345 in restitution. Shortly after the accident Warminster Police issued a statement that said Horowitz was traveling westbound in the eastbound lane of Street Road when he attempted to turn right onto St. Davids Avenue, crossing the path of a group of motorcyclists. “The vehicle struck one biker, causing minor damage, then collided with a second motorcycle, sending the biker to Abington Memorial Hospital in critical condition,” according to the …

Andrew Cairns pleads innocent to charges of attempted murder after police say he engaged them in a firefight Tuesday evening.
Andrew Cairns was brought to a Warminster courtroom Wednesday afternoon for a preliminary arraignment on multiple charges stemming from an alleged shootout he had with Police Tuesday. Police said Cairns’ 90-year-old neighbor was killed in the exchange of gunfire. Bucks County Assistant District Attorney Matt Weintraub said Cairns knowingly risked the life of up to six police officers when he shot at them, attempting to kill them Tuesday evening. Cairns pled not guilty to District Justice Daniel Finello on charges of attempted murder, assault of a law enforcement officer, aggravated assault, multiple counts of recklessly endangering another person and other related offenses. Harold Horowitz was charged with several misdemeanors Thursday after an accident that claimed the life of a Huntingdon Valley man back in October.
A Warminster man faces multiple charges following an accident that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist on Street Road last October. Eric Hammer, 27, of Huntingdon Valley, was killed after a car collided with his motorcycle at Street Road and St. Davids Avenue on October 1. Harold Horowitz, 85, was charged with several misdemeanors, including vehicular homicide, involuntary manslaughter and reckless endangerment, in a Warwick district court Thursday. Phillyburbs.com reports bail was set at $25,000 after Horowitz's attorney waived a preliminary hearing. A formal arraignment is scheduled for February 1.

Centennial School District reports that a student was hit by a school bus in Warminster Tuesday morning.
Centennial School District recently issued the following statement via the district's website: This morning, November 27, 2012, a student was struck by a Centennial bus at the intersection of Street and Centennial Roads. Upon receipt of notification of the accident, Warminster Township Police, EMT, and Centennial Administration responded immediately to the scene. We are fortunate to have such a dedicated police and EMT force and grateful for their rapid response. The School District has commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident. There was no word on the identity of the student or the student's condition. According to reports, a driver turned into a group of motorcyclists at Street Road and St. Davids Avenue.
A Huntingdon Valley man was killed Monday night when a car collided with his motorcycle at Street Road and St. Davids Avenue, 6ABC News reports. According to a release sent by the Warminster Police Department, an 85-year-old driver of a 2009 Toyota was traveling westbound in the eastbound lane of Street Road Monday night at approximately 10 p.m. He attempted to turn right onto St. Davids Avenue, crossing the path of a group of motorcyclists. The vehicle struck one biker, causing minor damage, then collided with a second motorcycle, sending the biker to Abington Memorial Hospital in critical condition. A middle-aged man was struck by a car on Street Road early Saturday morning.
A middle-aged man is lucky to be alive after being struck by a car Saturday morning along Street Road. The man has several broken bones throughout his body and was described by Warminster Chief of Police Michael Murphy as being "pretty busted up." Despite the many broken bones, the hospital told police the injuries are "non-life threatening." The man was crossing Street Road at 1:05 a.m. Saturday when a car struck him. The accident happened just past Valley Road, Murphy said. The driver of the car stopped immediately and will not be facing charges, the chief said. A Warminster resident was pronounced dead at Abington Memorial Hospital Sunday night after his motorcycle collided with a car on Street Road, near Newtown Road. According to a statement by the police, officers responded to the accident at 8:54 p.m. and found Sean Grady face down in the middle of Street Road. He was taken to Abington Memorial Hospital, but succombed to his injuries while doctors worked on him. The police department earlier announced that Street Road would be shut down tomorrow morning between Jacksonville and Centennial roads to reconstruct and investigate the accident.
