In 2013, Warminster Township allotted $7,500 to give back to the community through the Department of Parks and Recreation's community assistance grants.
Warminster Township recently awarded several community organizations funds through the Parks and Recreation Department's community assistance grant program. “These grants are something that have been going on in the township for a long time,” said Karen Whitney, Parks and Recreation Department director. Whitney said what differs from year to year is the amount of funding available, as that number fluctuates in accordance with the municipal budget. In 2013, the township allotted $7,500 to give back to the community through community assistance grants. Help the township respond to problems on the roads.
How many times have you been driving through town, wishing something would be done about a pothole or other potential problem? Now you can do your part to help alert the township to these hazards. Warminster Township's Public Works Department has recently launched a "Repair Forms" website, where residents can alert the township to various problems ranging from potholes and broken street lights to dead animals in the roadway and more. The form does not replace a formal complaint with the township, but it will alert road crews to potential hazards so they can expedite their response. The Warminster Township Board of Supervisors met for its annual reorganization meeting Thursday evening.
The new year brings no change to the Warminster Township Board of Supervisors, as all will remain in their currently appointed posts. At its annual reorganization meeting, members of the board voted to retain Leo Quinn as board chairman, Tom Panzer as vice chairman, and Frank Feinberg as Treasurer. Following the nominations, Quinn took asked for a moment to "reflect on 2012 before kicking off 2013." Quinn noted that while the nation faced financial problems in the new year, Warminster was not dealing with any kind of fiscal cliff.
