County Line Road Bridge Construction Nears Completion

Despite a few weather-related setbacks, PennDOT says the project appears to be pretty close to following the initial timeline.  PennDOT Community Relations Coordinator Charles Metzger said as of the last update, the BCWSA would be handing over the roadway on April 13, barring no problems. “Weather can affect that date, also when you are digging up stuff you never know what you might find,” he said. “But so far it looks good for the 13th.”  Metzger said once …

Township Supervisors Seek Solution to Street Road Traffic

Warminster traffic engineers hope to improve the timing software on traffic lights along the corridor before the County Line Road water main project sends even more vehicles to Street Road.

For anybody who has tried to navigate Street Road in the middle of the afternoon, it is no secret that the traffic situation is almost unbearable. It may be hard to believe, but in a few weeks, the traffic is going to get even worse. As previously reported, the Bucks County Water and Sewer Authority has begun a six-month project that will install a new transmission pipe in a seven mile stretch of County Line Road, beginning at Valley Road in Warminster and ending at Pine Road in Lower Southampton. The project has been broken up into two separate contracts. The first section is located between Valley and Centennial roads, with work scheduled to take place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The Hatboro Borough Council recently refused an exception to…

The assertion “a representative from Rhythm Engineering, recognized that since its installation, the timing has been spotty, at best.” is wholly inaccurate and is not supported by the testimony provided to the board. It was emphasized that Rhythm has worked with Warminster Township “willingly and capably” by the Township traffic engineer to support the installation and configuration of the InSync…   more ›
