Reply@An Interested Bystander- you bring up equatable treatment, but when someone says that this has been done in the past to liberal groups, you basically say that that was the past and two wrongs don't make a right. It doesn't matter why did it to whom, it's bad all the way around, but if you didn't hang the guy who did it earlier cuz he was on your team you don't get to call for head of the guy on the opposing team when it happens. Further, there is absolutely no reason as of yet to believe that the targeting was politically motivated, in that the president persuaded anyone to provide undo scrutiny. That's just a reach, just like it would be for anyone to say GWB had something to do with the IRS harassing the NAACP in 2004.

Reply@Bill- Interesting little tale filled with loose allegations and supposition. I'm guessing the point is that Sestak has been corrupted by the influence of Obama. Oh, and that people who question republican tactics are being paid to do so by someone named Soros. So, you're for Toomey then, right? Is that just because he's an R and not a D?

ReplyI didn't defend Carter's foreign policy. I asked what people found wrong with it. I also challenged those who said he was the worst president ever by referencing GWB and his failure with Iraq. Beyond you're attempt to marginalize, your response has nothing to do with my post on this thread. I'll rephrase. What republican contender is there for 2016, and do you truly believe that person would make a good president or is it just a matter of beating the democrats?

ReplyReveling in potential scandals cuz you think it makes your team look better is just lame. How bout coming to the game prepared instead of hoping your opponent loses. The republicans need a serious contender, not another crop of bush league wanna-bes or right wing extremists whose only hope at victory is that their challenger falters.

Reply@Bob- your statement regarding the ambassadors is incorrect. While the city did fund the program for the last two years, the ambassadors are now being funded thru the increased parking revenue that goes into the general fund, not via taxes. And it's the "Karl Stirner Arts Trail".

ReplySo, smaller government and less revenue is the answer to our infrastructure issues...? Got any other ideas how to fix our roads, bridges and dams?

ReplySurely Ronnie is equally as critical of certain republican candidates, say ones running for county council with tons of personal baggage, right?

Further, i agree that any political group gaining non profit status based on a loose interpretation of "social welfare" is absolute BS, and that they should receive extra scrutiny regardless of the party they are in.
