Julie Achilles
Julie is a recent graduate of Temple University's journalism program, and a native of lovely Doylestown Borough. During her senior year, she won the 2011 Jim Gardner Broadcast Award for a mini-documentary she wrote, shot, edited and produced about a local World War II veteran and firsthand witness to the Nuremberg Trials.
While studying abroad in London during her junior year, Julie traveled Europe and blogged about her cultural experiences on The Philadelphia Inquirer's Student Union 34 website. Ultimately, Julie would love to be a multimedia reporter, traveling the world and writing for a publication or shooting for a show. (Move over, Anthony Bourdain!) Her favorite part of being a journalist is getting to meet inspiring and interesting people who do incredible things.
