ReplyAmend, I must be a dismal communicator. I really am on the fence regarding same sex marriage. I am trying to get informed. Although I have my beliefs, they are my beliefs. As I stated with abortion, I don't feel it is my job to judge. I really think people rip me a part because I am honest about my feelings. If I would just say yes and agree even though I might have questions, they would love me. I am ok with my search for truth. Good for all of those who are so sure of their position. I am friends with 2 couples and I feel for them. That is why I have questions. I don't want t be ignorant. I may be naive in some regards, but I am trying to ask questions to get answers for myself. The reason I tell gay people who cares what people think, is because I don't want them to rely on other people to be ok with themselves. Some people will just never accept their choice. Obviously I didn't communicate that well at all!

ReplyThis is what I just don't get...I am a stay home mom...I could care less what people think of me. I am very happy and content in my choice. If a woman chooses to work, good for her. I don't care. I'm not someone who needs to tear someone down to build myself up. I don't understand why gay people care what other people think. Enjoy your life and your choice. I don't agree with the people who try to brow beat you about your choice. I don't know why you engage in this nasty back and forth. It doesn't help either side. You will never convince people to change their beliefs. I am embarrassed as a Christian at some of the hate filled talk coming from Christians. You don't help your cause. Can you agree to disagree?

It's funny how the government knows what is best for us, yet somehow the rules don't apply to them....gun laws....Obamacare....are a couple examples! Leanie, you are missing the point about new laws....they don't enforce the laws that are already on the books. ...big joke! New laws for law abiding citizens won't even touch the problem at hand.

Earnest, Even Jesse Jackson is calling on our president to talk about Chicago! News flash...the majority of murders are black on black. Wake up or go put your head back in the sand. Black leaders are now coming out pleading to address this problem.. The headline shootings of late are 5 white guys (except Fort Hood) who were known ahead of time to have mental illness! Nothing was done about those people! MENTAL ILLNESS...get it. Gun laws for law abiding citizens aren't going to prevent those horrible incidents. I don't even own a gun, but I don't like other people deciding which constitutional rules are worthy of upholding! Lastly, I did not make a generalization about welfare recipients. I was repeating what 2 black leaders attributed as a big art of the problem....idiot!
