Meet the Supervisor Candidate: Daniel McPhillips

Daniel McPhillips is a Republican running for re-election to the Warminster board of supervisors.

Bio:

I currently serve as a member of the Warminster Township Board of Supervisors. Before serving as a Township Supervisor, I was appointed to the Zoning Hearing Board, Planning Commission, Finance and Budget Advisory Board, and served as past Chair of the Environmental and Energy Advisory Council. I worked with the Warminster Police Department to install a prescription drug drop-off box, which is available to residents 24/7.  I also started a community outreach program, where I meet with residents weekly.  As a lifelong Warminster Township resident, I attended Centennial Schools, graduated from Archbishop Wood High School and earned a BA in Political Science from LaSalle University.

What is the biggest issue facing Warminster residents, and how can you help?

I feel that the biggest issue facing Warminster voters this election is maintaining fiscal responsibility as it pertains to township finances.  As a current member of Warminster Township Board of Supervisors I voted for a 2013 township budget in which we cut township expenditures with no tax increase to residents.  In these still tough economic times, we are projecting to pass a 2014 township budget with no tax increase for a second consecutive year.
